Don’t want to stand in lift lines on busy weekends? Ready to venture out of bounds and get a taste of the CO Rockies? Getting out into the backcountry is a great way to get away from crowds and enjoy the serenity of the wilderness!

Our Intro to Backcountry Touring course is a great way to get your first backcountry experience on skis or a splitboard. This course is aimed at skiers and snowboarders that can confidently ski/ride blue runs inbounds, and enjoy the powder!

After a quick gear check and familiarization your guide will take you to an easy access terrain for showing you basic uphill skills and enjoyable downhill runs. With permits in the Dillon Ranger District and South Platte Ranger District covering multiple mountain ranges the possibilities are almost endless.

Got the bug and want to learn more about safely navigating the backcountry while using proper techniques for an efficient ascent? We recommend our 3-Day Backcountry Skiing and Riding Course
